ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Support HUSD Vision, Mission, and Goals.

  2. Mentor and work closely with Tech I staff, assisting them with tickets and tasks, and providing guidance as needed.
  3. Provide support to Tech III staff and assist with managing projects at school sites.
  4. Respond to computer trouble calls from Level I Techs requiring support.
  5. Provide support for PCs, Laptops, Printers, VOIP Phones, Servers, Copiers, Intercoms, and other miscellaneous equipment.
  6. Provide Tier-2 support for district systems.
  7. Troubleshoot and support servers, user accounts, E-mail servers, DHCP, DNS, File and Print Servers, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Call Manager, and various other hardware and software issues.
  8. Demonstrate the ability and willingness to serve and train end-user clients.
  9. Maintain an asset inventory database and assist in the preparation of manuals, charts, and diagrams regarding the LAN/WAN system.
  10. Assist in the implementation and evaluation of the Server/Client and other software.
  11. Safeguard and maintain the confidentiality of information stored and discussed due to access to confidential student and staff information.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Associate's degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience required.
  2. Experience with Windows Server 2019/2022, Windows 10/11, and Active Directory.
  3. A+ Certificate a plus.
  4. Ability to pass background and reference checks as stipulated by District standards.
  5. Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is regularly required to perform the following duties:

  1. Frequent communication with staff and vendors including the exchange of accurate information.
  2. Move about the inside office and school campus to access technology equipment.
  3. Constantly operate a computer and other technology equipment.
  4. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time either standing or sitting.
  5. Often raising objects from a lower to higher position, higher to lower position, or horizontally weighing up to 50 pounds.
  6. Frequently required to position body to perform duties by bending body downward and forward at the waist often requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles, bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine.
  7. Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves away from the force or towards the force.
  8. Occasionally ascending or descending ladders and stairs using feet and legs or hands and arms.
  9. Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching on narrow slippery surfaces.
  10. Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands.
  11. Occasionally required to position body by bending body downward and forward by waist.
  12. Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities including preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
  13. Exposure to the following environmental conditions including moving mechanical parts, noise, and electric shock.

 

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:  Full-Time Position - 12 months Monday - Friday, 8 hours a day.

 

SALARY CLASSIFICATION:  Appropriate salary placement on the Classified Hourly Salary Schedule.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated by Site Administrator and according to District Policy.

 

TOTAL PAID HOLIDAYS: 21
